ROVeXchange
Photographs and specifications for various underwater Remote Operated Vehicles on the market today.
Used Robots - used robot division of RobotWorx
Industrial robot arms, reconditioned. Movies of industrial robot arms performing their functions. Hot!
Robots.net - All the news that's fit to assimilate
People's creations, amateur robotics, and robotics-related news. Oddly, I found no photos of the aftermath when robots turn on their creators. I guess they want to encourage people!
ROV.org - Remotely operated vehicles
Mostly marine submersibles. Articles (the progression of ROVs), photo galleries of ROVs in action, and student resources. Hmm, makes me want to be a student again.
Active Robots
Kits, parts, batteries, and all sorts of nifty electronics gadgets for building stuff. Look at the different chassis. They're in the UK, but they'll ship overseas.
The Robot Store - Jameco Electronics
Parts (including muscle wires), electronics, mechanical... seems to be a reasonable parts resource. Their current kits seem to be scaled down from what they used to carry.
Robotic Illustrations by Giedi
I wish I hadn't lost the original e-mail from this guy all those years ago. The site is only viewable in IE, was last updated in 2003, and there's no contact info. But obviously a very talented illustrator, as you can see from this robot arm animation (swf).
Robot Builder's Bonanza - book
Amazon.com customer reviews of the book "Robot Builder's Bonanza". Pretty highly rated.
